PRESS RELEASE 5 MARCH 2018

Aura Holdings is pleased to announce an official construction start date for luxury retirement community development, The Avenue Maroochydore.

Commencing 19 March 2018, the development has already piqued local interest with more than 60 contractors attending a Woollam Constructions run information session in early February.

Woollam Constructions Managing Director, Craig Percival, said the luxury retirement development was sparking a flood of enquiries.

“This is an exciting Sunshine Coast project and we’re pleased to be able to provide a number of trade and supply opportunities to a strong local contingent – it’s a positive sign for the Sunshine Coast economy and the building sector,” Mr Percival said.

Previously the site of the Maroochydore Swans Bowls Club, The Avenue Maroochydore two-stage development will be home to 117 retirement living apartments on a site just under 1 hectare.

Located across the road from the newly completed St Vincent’s Residential Aged Care Facility, The Avenue Maroochydore Retirement Community will set a new standard in seniors’ independent living with 2 and 3 bedroom apartments selling from $420,000.

It’s exceptional location is within walking distance to Sunshine Plaza, the emerging CBD precinct and the river. The new community will also include state-of-the-art facilities including a heated pool, lush internal courtyard with outdoor BBQ area, gym and café as well as on demand in-home care services through partner, Five.Good.Friends.

Aura Director, Tim Russell said, “Retirees on the Sunshine Coast tell us that what’s really important to them is choice when it comes to living options, so we are completely focused on tailoring our offering around their needs, both now and in the future.”

“Aura is excited about construction commencement and to be working with Woollam at Maroochydore and delivering a much-needed retirement village in this area of the coast”, Russell said.

The first stage is already over 50% sold and is expected to be sold out prior to completion.
